 Sustainable Flow Projects

River Instream Flow Stewards (RIFLS) is a program that enables local groups to learn about the importance of healthy streamflow, document streamflow on otherwise ungaged rivers and restore more natural flow regimes in rivers suffering from abnormal flow alterations. RIFLS groups typically move through phases of scoping and feasibility, initial investigation and data collection, preliminary assessment, advanced investigation, advanced analysis and implementation of flow restoration and management strategies. For more information about Riverways' sustainable streamflow projects, please click on "Sustainable Flow Projects" on the left. If you would like to become involved in a RIFLS group or start a new group, please contact Riverways at 617-626-1540.
