The River Instream Flow Stewards (RIFLS) program enables local groups to document streamflow on otherwise ungaged rivers, investigate any signs of flow alteration, and restore more natural flow patterns. RIFLS volunteers monitor staff gages around the state on a regular basis. Volunteers enter their data via this website (see the “Enter Data” link).
RIFLS has established stream gages in the watersheds labeled below. Click on a watershed for site information, streamflow and stage data, photos, and maps. On each watershed page, sites that are not currently being monitored by volunteers are indicated with italicized text. To learn more about how these data are collected, or if you would like to become involved in a RIFLS group or start a new group, please contact RIFLS staff at 617-626-1544 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
