Mattapoisett River: Acushnet Road, Mattapoisett
    Drainage area: 23.17 square miles
    Weather Station: New Bedford
    Group: Coalition for Buzzards Bay
Description: This site was established to understand causes of low flows in the Mattapoisett River. RIFLS monitoring occurred from 2005 - 2009, and from July 2011 - February 2013, when the gage began to shift. Stage data since September 2013 are from a gage on the downstream side of the Acushnet Road bridge. Flow data are not available from that gage, and water level data should not be compared with data from the prior gage. The USGS restarted a real-time gage downstream of this site in April 2015.

NOTE: DATA ARE PROVISIONAL AND SUBJECT TO REVISION. Some extreme high flows may not be displayed on the discharge chart if the staff gage is not calibrated for those flows. Currently the rating curve at this site is calibrated to cover stages up to 3.57 feet and discharge up to 54 cubic feet per second.
